- Lots of friendly coworkers that will be easy to get along/make friends with
- Will quickly learn lots about working in restaurants and customer service
- Good for a summer job

Pros:
- Lots of friendly coworkers that will be easy to get along/make friends with
- Will quickly learn lots about working in restaurants and customer service
- Good for a summer job
- [Hosts & support staff] Get to do lots of different things every shift (greeting, seating, bussing, food-running, updating table availability...)
- Exercise (lots of walking)
- Energetic + social environment
- Working outdoors (nice to be in the sun and by the lake)

Cons:
- Ridiculously busy during summertime so it can be quite stressful and fast-paced (but if you like keeping busy at jobs then it's fun). Be prepared to sweat
- Some managers better+more respectful than others
- Large tourist clientele so tipout isn't great
- Business highly dependent on weather/outdoor seating
- Seasonal layoffs (don't put too much trust in staying permanently)
- Less hours as weather gets colder
- Not much shift/# of hours flexibility

It's a great summer gig, especially if you're new to the city because the coworkers are the best part of the job-- you'll make lots of friends as you're run through the mud in the chaotic environment.
