Not the best place to work at all, the owners/chef don't care about customers needs at all, owners do not seem to care about the staff AT ALL. Nobody knows the tip out percentage, we make a lot of tips but god knows what part goes to the Kitchen/hosts. When asked, it's usually answered "the director takes care of it." Apparently it's not only the kitchen you tip, know before you start working here, you tip out director, managers too. The kitchen staff drinks while they are working, the owners themselves are ok with it. It wouldn't be a problem there if FOH drinks and works as well. Somebody should definitely raise their voice about the transparency with tip out percentage. Even the bar team gets tipped out way less than hosts/kitchen.

Pros: you will have good hours, you'd make good tips but there is no transparency with the tip out, everybody pools in and there is no record of how much you're actually making all together.

Cons: Management does not care about staff, owners are on the floor all the time intimidating/keeping an eye on you, they'll sit down with your tables and talk for hours as if its their friends, they've silly rules, the restaurant is new and it needs a lot work.

The restaurant has a foul-mouthed general manager and owners who are only nice in front of customers, but bad-mouth other employees and customers whenever there is a problem with a customer. The work environment is terrible, with people bad-mouthing their co-workers behind their backs and saying very bad things about people who have quit. Also, the owners and managers vapes right next to the kitchen on the second floor, which is terrible from a hygiene standpoint, and from a legal standpoint it is illegal to vaping in the building. For manager and owners who tells you to ask immediately if you have any questions, when you go to ask, they sigh and the owner yells at you. I would not recommend not working for this company as I think it would be better for everyone's mental and physical health.
