This place really had lots of potential, but it’s a shame how much everything was wasted.

There was a tough manager turnover. Each one of them talked about how the owner would yell and talk down to them, while not training them. When they did have good ideas, it would be rejected because it would threaten her ego.

The nice thing about this place is if you have 0 experience, you’ll get hired because this place cannot retain experienced industry people. They all know all the shady things going on here (especially with tips) and peace out the moment they can leave.

Tips are always late and they refuse to give you a tip breakdown (they do tip pooling). If you call them out on the lack of transparency, you get fired. People have also brought up that their paychecks were shorted, and their scheduling platform conveniently doesn’t allow you to check how many hours you worked. I’ll let you decide why I’m mentioning this.

Overall, the best thing about this place is the coworkers you’re going to work with. No matter your experience level, we help each other out because God knows no one else will.

But take this as a warning —.there is a reason all of us have left. Their HR system is a joke and everything you would say to them would be twisted around and taken as a reason to fire you. The owner will also make up HR complaints about you to get you fired. This has been witnessed by many people, and if you want to know more, you only need to look at the place’s location tag on instagram to see more.

This is your sign. Don;t apply to this place unless you are desperate and have nowhere else to go.

management will not care about you. makes life very difficult due to how unorganized they are. Barely has any volume. Management has no idea how to run a bar or a restaurant. Cannot make up their mind about their identity. Has a high-end cocktail list for a pub with mostly young university kids coming in. Expect to have your schedule late, and zero communication between management and you. Managers take tips while "taking a section", but spend 80 percent of the time smoking or on their phone in the back talking among themselves. Zero training will be provided for you.

Poor management + low tips = high turnover

New ownership and extremely low tips along with poor management leaves Bimini’s employees quickly looking for a better job. The number of customers is dwindling as the weeks go by.
