A difficult job but rewarding if you are looking to grow your experience in fine dining. Very hierarchy based and some staff politics. Tips great for senior servers (15+ years) but otherwise not super profitable.

when it's busy lots of hours to go around. summer season and Christmas are lucrative. but shoulder seasons are sparse, with priority going to long term staff. the quality of food has gone down despite prices skyrocketing
