Great team, low pay

The venue is just beautiful, the coworkers are friendly but the management and the compensation is very suspicious. Never in my life I was paid $0 tips for an event work.

The managers and supervisors are terribly rude and condescending
Feel lucky if you get 2 shifts per week
And the BIGGEST con of them all: You won't get the usual 18% gratuity that event places split as tips for the staff, Instead, clients get charged an 18% "management fee" when paying for an event, and the managers take that money home, not the staff, as it should be. ON TOP OF THAT, you are not allowed to put a tip jar or accept tips when you are bartending because, and I quote: "The owner doesn't like that."

So, with that logic, you are supposed to make your living from 2 shifts a week, payed at minimum wage WITHOUT tips.

RUN, don't walk, RUN from this place!!!

Would recommend to others, provided money isn't a main focus. The opportunities to grow there are immense. Great stories from working there.

Made us wear long sleeved black shirts in the patio during the heat warnings. Tips were very low.
