Being a part of a union is a bit of a double-edged sword; it's great for your own job security and quality of life. But it does have a way of protecting those who would otherwise never be allowed to stay.

I started working here at 18 and as an 18 year old the compensation is good but as you grow older you will most likely out grow the job. Most of my direct managers who i started with left or moved up and current management is kind of discrete about the plans going forward. I wouldn't work here if you were expecting to make lots of tips as that is not likely for new employees. This job has a great atmosphere being in the building for playoff games and massive concerts is a big plus as well the union has a great reciprocals package to get you discounts to a number of places across Ontario. They have recently added 6 locations that are essentially self checkout where ONLY new staff work which will make you erssentially do the same work as others but receive no tips for your effort.

If the manager's do not like you, they will get you out regardless of the union.

You gets shifts when they have events and matches otherwise they dont call you pay is decent. As a side job you can earn around 800$ a month
