 Full-Time Server (Approx. 30 Hours/Week)

Memphis Blues BBQ a proudly Canadian company, born and raised in East Vancouver. Since our founding in 2001, we have been a leader in the Vancouver BBQ scene.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Server with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a serving or bartending role. Evening and weekend availability is required.

The successful candidate will be confident in taking ownership of the service floor and maintaining a positive, upbeat attitude during busy service periods. Candidates must be comfortable performing basic math related to money handling and should be willing to learn all aspects of front-of-house restaurant operations, including beverage preparation.

Kitchen experience is considered an asset and may contribute to increased long-term earning potential. There may also be opportunities to participate in catering events when appropriate.

Essential Functions

• Resolve order issues and customer concerns, or escalate to the FOH Manager when needed
• Maintain accuracy and efficiency in all tasks, including order taking and money handling.
• Answer phones confidently and communicate clearly with guests.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and follow all opening and closing procedures.
• Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by creating a welcoming atmosphere and responding promptly to requests.

Requirements

• Valid work permit for a minimum of 1 year
• Serving It Right (SIR) certification
• SIN 
• Strong command of English
