Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Artistry on the Plate: Lead the line during service to ensure every dish meets Bar Filo’s high standards of aesthetics, temperature, and flavor profile.

  • Operational Rhythm: Maintain a calm, commanding presence during high-pressure "Live Music" dinner services, ensuring the kitchen moves in harmony with the front-of-house.

  • Creative Input: Collaborate with the Head Chef on seasonal menu developments, translating European heritage into modern, soul-stirring dishes.

  • Quality Guardianship: Oversee rigorous inventory management and food safety protocols. You are the final filter for quality before an ingredient ever touches the pan.

  • Mentorship: Actively coach and inspire the Demi Chefs and Commis, fostering a kitchen culture rooted in respect, growth, and professional pride.

Qualifications

  • The Pedigree: 3–5 years of experience in high-end European or Fine Dining kitchens, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role (Senior CDP or similar).

  • The Craft: Exceptional technical skills in European culinary traditions—you should have a deep intuition for sauces, proteins, and the "art of the finish."

  • The Aesthetic Eye: A natural sense of plating and presentation. You understand that at Bar Filo, we eat with our eyes first.

  • The Tempo: The ability to thrive in a vibrant, music-filled environment. You are energized, not distracted, by the energy of a live performance.

  • The Character: A leader who communicates with clarity and empathy. We value "humble excellence"—being the best at what you do without losing your team’s heart.

  • The Standards: Uncompromising attention to detail regarding kitchen hygiene, MEP (mise-en-place) organization, and waste reduction.
