The Role
As a Server at Jacobs & Co., you are more than an order-taker; you are a culinary guide and storyteller. You will curate bespoke dining experiences for an affluent clientele, corporate executives, and passionate food connoisseurs. You must possess a sophisticated understanding of fine dining mechanics, a deep knowledge of prime cuts, and the ability to seamlessly navigate a massive, diverse wine list.
Key Responsibilities
Exemplary Service: Deliver flawless, attentive, and synchronized table service in alignment with luxury fine dining standards.
Menu & Wine Expertise: Confidently articulate the nuances of our dry-aging process, cattle origins (including rare Wagyu), and provide expert wine pairing recommendations from our extensive cellar.
Guest Engagement: Build lasting relationships with regular patrons and anticipate guest needs before they are verbalized.
Collaboration: Work cohesively with our Sommelier team, culinary artisans, and support staff to ensure a seamless service flow.
Maintain Ambiance: Ensure the dining room aesthetics, table settings, and glassware meet our exacting standards at all times.
What We Are Looking For
Note: This is a high-volume, elite fine dining environment. Only candidates with verifiable upscale or fine dining experience will be considered.
Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years of serving experience in a recognized, premium upscale or fine dining establishment.
Wine Knowledge: Strong foundational wine knowledge is mandatory. Court of Master Sommeliers (CMS) certified or WSET Level 2/3 is highly preferred. You must be comfortable discussing varietals, regions, and vintages.
Passion for Gastronomy: A genuine love for steak culture, premium ingredients, and the art of hospitality.
Poise Under Pressure: Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and elegant demeanor in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Communication: Exceptional verbal communication skills and a polished, professional appearance.
Availability: Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and late nights.
