Job Description

Liberty Entertainment Group is looking for a detail-oriented, people-focused HR and Payroll Specialist to join and support our growing team. This role plays a key part in our core HR functions while working with our payroll team. Key Responsibilities

Human Resources

  • Facilitate employee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support the facilitation of effective issue resolution in HR matters.
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives to support organizational goals.
  • Handle other HR duties as needed to support team operations.

Payroll

  • Assist in processing bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time in collaboration with the payroll team.
  • Maintain payroll records, including wages, deductions, and PTO
  • Ensure compliance with Employment Standards Act and payroll regulations
  • Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies
  • Collaborate with department heads on all payroll and HR-related matters to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency.
  • Handle other payroll responsibilities as assigned to support the team and organizational needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in full-cycle payroll and HR administration.
  • Working knowledge of payroll laws and HR best practices
  • Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms; preferably Ceridian Dayforce and Push
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Able to legally work in Canada

Compensation

$50,000-$60,000 annually
