1. Beverage Preparation & Service
Mix, garnish, and serve drinks according to recipes or customer requests.
Ensure proper pouring and portion control.
Recommend drinks based on guests’ preferences.
Maintain product knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
2. Customer Interaction
Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
Engage with customers, answer questions, and suggest menu items.
Handle complaints or special requests professionally.
3. Bar Operations
Keep the bar stocked with liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and other supplies.
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to management.
Operate POS system and handle cash or card transactions accurately.
4. Cleanliness & Safety
Maintain a clean bar area, including counters, utensils, and equipment.
Follow food safety and alcohol service regulations.
Monitor guests’ alcohol consumption and act to prevent over-serving.
5. Team Collaboration
Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff for timely service.
Assist in training new staff on drink preparation and service standards.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
Attention to detail and accuracy in orders.
Basic math skills for cash handling.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Must meet minimum legal age for alcohol service in the location of employment.
Smart Serve, TIPS, or other responsible alcohol service certification (where required).
