Roles & Responsibilities
As a General Manager, you report to the Executive Team and work alongside fellow managers and teammates; responsibilities and duties include, but not limited to:
Excellence in Service
Take an active and proactive role in service during all hours of operation
Maintain flow, energy and efficiency of the floor
Assist in planning for, conduct and monitor pre-shift and monthly meetings.
Oversee servers, bartenders and other Front of House (FoH) support and step into any role as needed when permitted (e.g. seat guests, take orders, run food, clear tables)
Guest Relations, touch tables in guest recovery situations and form relations with new and returning guests
Administration
Weekly shift summary to Executive Team during manager’s meeting
Managing online and in house reservations, RBD, and experiences using TOCK
Managing and coordinating group bookings
Managing and mentoring staff, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring effective communication among teams.
Responding to guest enquiry emails
Inventory & Maintenance
Receive and organize supplies according to Food Safe and Serving It Right Standards
Maintain cleanliness of all work, service and storage areas and storage room
General restaurant maintenance and maintaining optics
Professional development
Meet individual and support team goals (i.e. daily, weekly & monthly)
Coach and support FoH to work cohesively and efficiently with one another
Assist for hiring, training and disciplinary actions with FOH staff and report to Executive Team
Carries out other duties as needed and/or assigned by the Executive Team
