Job Description

Chinese BBQ Prep Cook /  Kitchen Helper

Heritage Asian Eatery is seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper / Prep Cook to join our growing team at our Oakridge location.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and takes pride in precision, consistency, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and ingredient processing
• Vegetable, meat, and protein preparation
• Portioning and packaging
• Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization
• Supporting line cooks and chefs during service
• Following food safety and sanitation standards
• Assisting with receiving and inventory organization

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience required 
• Strong knife skills required
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays

Highly Preferred

• Experience with Chinese BBQ preparation and chopping
• Experience handling roasted duck, BBQ pork (char siu), crispy pork, or other Cantonese BBQ items
• Experience working in Chinese restaurant kitchens or food hall environment
