Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Manager/Chef to oversee the daily operations of our busy restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional food quality, maintaining high standards of food safety, and leading a dynamic team. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the food industry. The Kitchen Manager will play a key role in delivering outstanding customer service while managing all aspects of kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including training, and evaluating team members
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
  • Manage food handling procedures in compliance with safety regulations and food safety standards
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain smooth kitchen operations
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment in accordance with health codes
  • Implement and enforce food safety policies, including proper storage and sanitation practices
  • Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating customer feedback and industry trends
  • Lead by example in providing excellent customer service and hospitality

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management
  • Strong supervisory experience with team management skills
  • Excellent leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and develop staff
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and food handling regulations
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Background in the food industry, including restaurant or hotel experience, is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate between kitchen staff, front-of-house team, and management
