ZIKR is a new Indian restaurant located inside the Holiday Inn Hotel in Cloverdale, BC, and we are looking for a friendly, polished, and welcoming Host / Hostess to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, this role is important in creating a warm and positive first impression. We are looking for someone who is organized, professional, guest-focused, and able to manage reservations, seating, and guest flow smoothly in a busy restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests warmly as they arrive and thank them as they leave
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and table seating efficiently
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
• Maintain clear communication with servers and management regarding table status and guest flow
• Answer phone calls and assist with guest inquiries, bookings, and restaurant information
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and presentable entrance and host stand area
• Support the front of house team in creating a smooth and positive guest experience
• Handle guest concerns politely and professionally when needed
• Assist with coordinating large parties, special requests, and hotel guest inquiries

Requirements:

• Previous host or customer service experience is preferred
• Friendly, outgoing, and professional personality
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to stay calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment
• Well-groomed and presentable appearance
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Experience with reservation systems is an asset
