We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Professional to join our team and contribute to the heart of our restaurant—the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
* Kitchen Experience: Willingness, desire & ability to work hands on in the kitchen.
* Leadership & Team Management: Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, including line cooks and dishwashers. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
* Inventory & Ordering: Manage inventory levels and assist in cost-effective menu building.
* Menu Management: Collaborate with our management team on menu planning, including seasonal updates and weekly specials, while ensuring quality, profitability and consistency.
* Food Quality & Safety: Maintain the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and safety in compliance with health regulations.
* Cost Control: Monitor food costs, labor costs, and overall kitchen expenses, implementing strategies to meet targets.
* Problem-Solving: Address any operational challenges in the kitchen promptly and effectively.
Located in Tiny Ontario we are a growing independent restaurant in a small town known for beautiful beaches & cottage country. About two hours north of Toronto and 15-20 minutes from two local towns we operate 12 months of the year and are continuing to grow beyond just a local spot to attract customers from further.
