Responsibilities
• Act as on-the-floor shift leader during service, ensuring all sections of the kitchen are running smoothly and in sync with FOH.
• Monitor bill times and ensure orders are completed within target windows, balancing speed with food quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times, adhering to all sanitation, health, and safety guidelines.
• Lead and supervise kitchen staff on shift, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers, ensuring tasks are executed correctly and efficiently.
• Ensure consistent execution of all menu items, following standardized recipes, plating guides, and portion sizes.
Qualifications
• At least 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, ideally in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong culinary knowledge, including prep techniques, knife skills, and core cooking methods.
• Proven ability to work a station independently and maintain standards under pressure.
• Emerging leadership skills with the ability to guide, support, and train junior staff.
• Clear and effective communication skills with both senior leadership and line staff.
