POSITION SUMMARY
As a representative of The Vancouver Club, the Dishwasher plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment. This position ensures the kitchen team has the tools and resources needed to deliver exceptional culinary experiences to members and guests. The role requires a professional demeanor and a commitment to teamwork and excellence.
Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide consistent, professional, and proactive support to colleagues while maintaining a friendly and cooperative attitude.
Operate and maintain industrial dishwashing equipment efficiently.
Ensure dishes, silverware, and kitchen tools are cleaned, sanitized, and readily available for use.
Sort, stack, and safely store cleaned items in designated areas, maintaining an organized system.
Identify and remove chipped or broken items from circulation, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control.
Perform opening and closing tasks, following established checklists and procedures.
Execute cleaning responsibilities as directed by the Chef de Cuisine, including floors, work surfaces, and equipment.
Ensure floors are clean and dry to maintain a safe work environment.
Adhere to department policies, procedures, and service standards.
Support green initiatives, including recycling and waste reduction efforts, to promote sustainability.
Actively contribute to a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
Perform other related duties as assigned to meet operational needs.
