Created from humble beginnings, Nemesis set out with a simple yet daring vision: to re-imagine and redefine the meaning of coffee culture in Vancouver and beyond by harmoniously intertwining hospitality, specialty coffee, culinary excellence, design and the arts. The word “Nemesis” perfectly captures our essence, our against the grain mentality, our need to express individuality, and our constant hunger to push the boundaries of coffee culture. We wanted to take the power out of the word and give it new meaning; to remove any negative connotations and turn it into something that is authentically us. The inverted heart was a creation derived from love, the deep appreciation for our community, and our want to define our purpose within them. A symbol we can make with our hands, a gesture that can be expressed universally to embody these sentiments.
