POSITION SUMMARY
As Communications and Content Manager, you are a key execution partner within The Vancouver Club’s Marketing & Communications team. Working alongside the Director, you translate ideas, priorities, and departmental needs into polished, member-facing communications delivered on time and to a high standard.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role suited to an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. From event collateral and email campaigns to digital content and on-site communications, you ensure that materials are accurate, well-presented, and launched without delay.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content & Communications Execution
• Develop and produce member-facing communications across digital and print channels
• Translate departmental requests into polished, on-brand deliverables
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in all communications
• Support seasonal campaigns and special event promotions
Collateral & Production
• Prepare event materials, signage, and promotional pieces in print-ready format
• Collaborate across departments to gather information and complete materials
• Uphold high standards for presentation and quality
Social Media & Digital Engagement
• Manage social media platforms and publish engaging content
• Capture and coordinate on-site content, including photography and short-form video
• Monitor engagement and respond professionally where appropriate
Email Marketing & Digital Channels
• Execute email communications, including announcements and promotions
• Write, design, and proof content aligned with brand standards
• Maintain website content and manage digital screens across the Club
Project Coordination & Workflow Management
• Maintain a structured content calendar aligned with operations
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines with consistent delivery
• Coordinate approvals and ensure follow-through to completion
• Support prioritization and execution alongside leadership
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
• Partner with departments to support communications and promotions
• Participate in meetings to stay ahead of programming and priorities
• Foster strong working relationships across the Club
Analytics & Reporting
• Track performance metrics across digital channels
• Provide insights to improve engagement and effectiveness
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Experience & Education
• Minimum 5 years in a communications, content, or marketing role
• Previous marketing and social media experience, preferably in hospitality, private club, or luxury service environments
• Formal education in marketing, communications, or related field preferred
• Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables in fast-paced settings
Skills & Competencies
• Strong copywriting skills
• Strong graphic design and visual presentation skills
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar software
• Experience with email marketing software such as Klaviyo or similar
• Experience with WordPress, Webflow or similar software
• Photography skills are a plus
• Strong organization and project management skills
