Position Overview
We are seeking a Full-Time Expeditor to join our team at our Commercial Drive location. The Expeditor is the critical connection between the kitchen and front-of-house, ensuring every dish is plated accurately, presented beautifully, and delivered to guests efficiently.
This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure while coordinating service during busy periods. Previous restaurant experience is required, and experience working as an Expo is considered a strong asset.
Responsibilities
As an Expeditor, your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating communication between the kitchen and front-of-house team
- Ensuring all dishes are plated correctly and meet presentation standards
- Checking orders for accuracy before they leave the kitchen
- Organizing tickets and prioritizing orders during peak service
- Calling and coordinating food for servers and support staff
- Monitoring ticket times and helping maintain efficient service flow
- Assisting with final garnishes and quality control when required
- Keeping the expo station clean, organized, and stocked throughout service
- Supporting both kitchen and service teams to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Following all food safety, sanitation, and company policies
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of restaurant experience required
- Previous Expo experience is an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume restaurant
- Positive attitude and team-first mentality
- Ability to remain composed under pressure
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid work authorization in Canada
