Restaurant Server

Sumu Restaurant is an innovative dining concept focused on revolutionizing the restaurant experience through creativity, culture, technology, and community. SUMU: Tokyo Street Fusion.

Our planned opening date will be early to mid August. We are looking for experienced, energetic, and hospitality driven servers who are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences. At Sumu, service is more than taking orders. It is about creating memorable moments, building relationships, and being part of a modern restaurant culture.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and create memorable dining experiences

• Guide guests through menu selections, food pairings, and recommendations

• Maintain strong knowledge of menu items, ingredients, cocktails, and specials

• Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service

• Handle high volume service while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail

• Build genuine connections with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas

• Process payments accurately and efficiently

• Assist with restaurant events, special promotions, and VIP experiences

• Uphold Sumu’s service standards and brand image

• Must be willing to work late nights

Qualifications

• Previous serving experience in restaurants, lounges, or hospitality environments

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast paced and team oriented environment

• Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong work ethic

• Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure

• Strong knowledge of food, beverages, wine, or cocktails is a plus

• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Experience with POS systems and restaurant operations preferred

• Able to work until 1:00am from Sun - Thu and 2:00am Fri & Sat
