Our kitchen team is passionate about quality, consistency, and creativity. As we continue to expand our brunch program, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Brunch Cook to join our culinary team.
Position Overview
The Brunch Cook is responsible for preparing and executing our brunch menu with precision, speed, and consistency. This role is ideal for a cook who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, has strong breakfast and brunch preparation skills, and takes pride in delivering beautifully presented dishes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook brunch menu items including eggs, breakfast proteins, pancakes, waffles, and other brunch specialties
Ensure all dishes are prepared according to Skye Avenue’s quality and presentation standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with Fraser Health regulations
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
Monitor food quality, portion control, and ingredient freshness
Assist with prep work and kitchen organization before and after service
Communicate clearly with chefs and front-of-house staff during service
Qualifications
Previous experience working on a brunch or breakfast line preferred
Strong knowledge of egg cookery (poached, Benedict, omelets, etc.)
Ability to work quickly and efficiently during busy service periods
Strong attention to detail and plating presentation
Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays
Food Safe Level 1 certification (required or willingness to obtain)
Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
