Sebastian & Co. Fine Meats is looking for a chef, cook, or food professional who wants to build a career in traditional butchery.
This isn't simply a retail position. We are a working butcher shop where fresh sausages, charcuterie, burgers, skewers, roasts, sandwiches, and seasonal products are made in-house, and customer service is an essential part of the craft.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in quality, and wants to learn every aspect of the trade.
About Us
Sebastian & Co. is an independent butcher shop with locations in Downtown Vancouver and West Vancouver. We focus on premium meats, traditional craftsmanship, and knowledgeable customer service.
Every day is different. You might spend the morning cutting steaks and preparing displays, the afternoon making fresh sausages or tying roasts, and later helping a customer choose the perfect cut for dinner. We believe a great butcher understands both the product and the people buying it.
What We're Looking For

Experience as a chef, cook, butcher, or in food production

A genuine interest in learning traditional meat cutting

Strong communication and customer service skills

A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Reliable, organized, and able to work well with a team

Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment and lifting up to 50 lbs

Fluent English
Previous butcher experience is welcome but not required. We are happy to train someone with a strong culinary background who is motivated to learn.
What You'll Do

Learn meat cutting and portioning techniques

Prepare fresh sausages, burgers, skewers, roasts, and other value-added products

Assist with charcuterie and specialty production

Serve customers and provide cooking advice and product recommendations

Maintain attractive displays and a clean, organized workspace

Follow food safety and sanitation standards

Contribute ideas for new products and seasonal features

Help wherever needed to keep the shop running smoothly
