A New High-End Japanese Dining Concept – Opening Soon at River Rock Casino Resort

Located inside River Rock Casino Resort, our new Japanese dining concept is preparing to open and build its founding team.

Overlooking the Fraser River with stunning views of Vancouver and the North Shore Mountains, the restaurant will offer an elevated dining experience focused on exceptional food, hospitality, and service.

Our vision is to deliver a refined Japanese dining experience featuring premium seafood, top-quality ingredients, and carefully crafted dishes inspired by both traditional techniques and modern culinary creativity.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Japanese Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has experience working in Japanese or Japanese Fusion cuisine and is passionate about delivering high-quality food with consistency, precision, and attention to detail.

The successful candidate will support daily kitchen operations while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen experience, preferably in Japanese or Japanese Fusion cuisine

• Strong understanding of Japanese ingredients, preparation techniques, and culinary fundamentals

• Ability to consistently execute high-quality dishes while maintaining presentation and portion standards

• Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with strong attention to detail

• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and kitchen operating procedures

• Ability to maintain an organized, clean, and efficient workstation throughout service

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and grow within the organization

• Passion for Japanese cuisine, hospitality, and delivering exceptional guest experiences

• Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Valid Food Safe Certification and legal authorization to work in Canada are required

Compensation

Competitive compensation will be offered based on experience and qualifications.
