Job Description

We are hiring a passionate, hospitality-focused Line Cook to join our kitchen team! We are on the lookout for dedicated and energetic individuals to execute our menu with precision and pride. As a key member of the line, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dishes, maintaining high standards of organization, and working seamlessly with the team during service. The ideal candidate has a hunger to learn, a strong work ethic, and a desire to grow their culinary skills in a chef-led environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain mise en place (MEP) so that stations are always ready for service and can sustain pace during peak periods.
  • Prepare ingredients according to standardized recipes and prep lists, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and preparing sauces, dressings, and garnishes.
  • Own your task list: ensure everything assigned to you is completed to standard and on time.
  • Adhere strictly to all food safety guidelines, including proper food handling, labeling, storage, and rotation (FIFO), ensuring an inspection-ready workspace.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area at all times, including regular wiping and sanitizing of prep surfaces, tools, and equipment.
  • Support consistent execution of the menu by following standardized recipes and instructions from the Sous and Jr Sous Chef Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of previous experience in a professional kitchen is mandatory. Basic understanding of pastry preparation techniques (including proofing, baking, and garnishing) and core adherence to standardized recipes.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling, storage, and the use of cleaning and sanitation chemicals.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently during busy periods while maintaining a high standard of quality.
  • Strong attention to detail in ingredient preparation and following recipes to ensure consistency, coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff and follow direction.
