Job Description

We are searching for an ambitious, professional leader to join our team and run our professional kitchen and team effectively.

We are a busy mid-size restaurant in the Village, we have a proven track record, award winning and priding ourselves on high quality, unique and exceptionally creative dishes and a complete dining experience.

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in fine dining and in a senior chef position
Required to supervise a kitchen team with professional leadership and development training
Maintain day to day operations including, but not limited to: scheduling and labor management (team of up to 7), creation of recipes, ordering, opening and closing of restaurant, inventory and stock take
Menu planning and costing of menu items, overall kitchen P & L responsibility
Flexibility and creativity to adjust menus for seasonal fluctuations (winter, summer, shoulder) bringing varying types of visitors
Must have an excellent level of culinary education (minimum of 2 years education)
Responsible for maintaining relationships with current and new suppliers and sourcing of local and seasonal ingredients
Ability to bring new revenue streams, reinforce current revenue streams and profitability
Great communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Strong computer skills for inventory management (excel), strong English writing skills (MS word) menu writing, familiar with live scheduling software (Homebase).
Impeccable hygiene, and VCH Food Safety certified and Experience with VCH.
