Dockside Restaurant & Granville Island Hotel – Vancouver, BC
Dockside is a waterfront, year-round restaurant and bar on Granville Island with one of Vancouver's most iconic patios. We're looking for a hands-on leader to own the bar and floor operations.
The Role:
Lead bar and front of house operations in a high-volume waterfront setting
Manage sections, flow, and guest experience; pace the room and support the team
Run the bar program: ordering, inventory, pars, cost control, and presentation standards
Coach and hold accountable a team of bartenders and servers
Maintain a sharp floor: cleanliness, ambiance, and service readiness
What You Bring:
Solid bar or floor leadership experience in a busy restaurant, bar, or hotel (Vancouver preferred)
Strong beverage knowledge (cocktails, wine, beer) and comfort with POS/inventory systems
Proven ability to lead by example, stay calm under pressure, and problem-solve on the fly
A genuine hospitality mindset—you love being on the floor and building team culture
