What You'll Do:
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients used in food preparation, including meats, seafood, vegetables, and sauces.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, ovens, and other cooking appliances.
Monitor food cooking temperatures and times, adjusting as needed to achieve desired results and maintain consistency.
Coordinate food preparation with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and smooth operations during busy periods.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations and standards, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of food items.
Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, rotating inventory, and assisting with ordering as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen team members to develop new menu items, specials, and promotions, contributing creative ideas and suggestions.
What You'll Need:
Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment operation.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, with attention to detail and quality.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with kitchen staff and maintain a positive work environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
