Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join the team at Mercato di Luigi & Cantina di Luigi!

Our second Mercato location builds on the spirit of our first but introduces Cantina di Luigi - a hidden, intimate dining room tucked behind a drawn curtain. Encased in floor-to-ceiling wine racks, it pays tribute to the traditional Italian cantina, where wine was aged, meats were cured, and meals were soulful and simple. By day, Mercato is an Italian deli, café, and market. By night, it transforms into a full-service restaurant and wine-forward dining destination, celebrating Italian cuisine rooted in simplicity, seasonal ingredients, and a thoughtfully curated wine list. We’re looking for a leader who shares our passion for Italian culture, exceptional guest experiences, and wine education.

You have:
- 1+ year CDP/Lead Cook experience
- Pasta and bakery experience considered a huge asset
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently while multi-tasking and maintaining high food standards
- An understanding of First In – First Out procedure and pride in maintaining an organized work environment
- Experience with Italian cuisine is an asset
- A calm, confident, and kind presence
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
